Unfortunate for Elena and the woman, but the title is still in reach.

Unfortunately for the Celtic FC woman side, they were beaten by The Rangers in the Scottish cup semi final at Hampden yesterday denying them the hopes of a dream double.

The season however is far from over for Elena Sadiku’s side as they still remain in pole position for the clubs first ever league title.

They have got to put the disappointment of losing to their rivals behind them and fully focus on winning the title starting on Wednesday night as they host Glasgow City at the Excelsior in a vital fixture.

If they can overcome that then it’s a trip to broadwood to take on The Rangers on league duty in a massive clash that will have a big say in the title. Ideally we should be looking to win, but If we come away with anything other than a defeat then it’s a pretty positive outcome as we will still be the masters of our own destiny.

We have that two point cushion and a far superior goal differential so we are firmly in the driving seat. We have got to make it count. Best of luck to Elena and her side in their journey to make history. Let’s hope we’re celebrating a league double for both the men’s and women’s side in a few weeks time.
