Fixture list conjures up the same old story, although there was one little festive surprise.

The transfer fixtures for next season have just been released and surprise, surprise the ‘super computer’ has picked out yet another interesting run of games where it concerns our club.

Kilmarnock at home is a tough start, at half past four on a Sunday afternoon, followed by tough trips to Easter road and Love Street.

Contrast that to the Rangers who will start away at Tynecastle which is a guaranteed three points. Followed by straightforward home games or wherever they may be playing against Motherwell and Ross County.

The first Glasgow Derby of the campaign will take place early on at the end of August so no surprise there either, but one surprise was threw up in that we will be playing a Boxing day fixture at paradise for the first time in years.

Yes a home fixture against Motherwell on the day after Christmas, wonders will never cease.

Whatever the fixtures in front of us we will just get on with it. We’ve shown in recent years that we’re good enough no matter what obstacle is put in our way.

The fixtures have finally been announced and the new season is almost upon us. Bring it on.

Just an ordinary Celtic supporter who likes to give my views on all the latest goings on at the club we all love. I also write for the Celtic star.
