We can’t hang around waiting for Idah decision. We need to sign other targets.

The hope of a permanent move for Adam Idah seems to diminish by the day. The striker was out of the picture at Norwich hence his loan move to Celtic in January, but now that the Carrow road side have a new man in charge, that could be about to change.

New boss Johannes Hoff Thorup quite rightly wants to run the rule over his new squad before making any decisions on the players future.

Adam had a terrific spell at the club and his goals were a major part in us winning the double. It wasn’t just his goals, but his all round play and attitude were spot on, and were the attributes required as a Celtic striker.

Johannes Hoff Throup will know this and Adam will be doing his best to impress the new man, so it looks unlikely he will be made available for transfer, or if so the valuation will be way out of our reach.

That makes it imperative that we hurry our search for a new striker. With OH close to joining Belgian side Genk it will leave only Kyogo as our only available striker.

Names such as Bojan Miovski and Mathias Kvistgaarden have been linked as potential targets. Let’s hope the club are actively seeking players of that quality as it’s vital we get someone in the door before the start of pre season.

Just an ordinary Celtic supporter who likes to give my views on all the latest goings on at the club we all love. I also write for the Celtic star.
