Rocco Vata is apparently in talks with championship side Watford over a move down south.
That’s according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano who also claims that Celtic have not gave up hope of agreeing a new deal with the Irish youth international and son of former Celtic cult hero Rudi.
Rocco is a talented boy who has the potential to have a great future in the game, but is that future at Celtic, and if so is he good enough to be a regular part of Brendan Rodgers plans going forward?
Rocco has shown in games with the B side and at youth international level with Ireland that he’s a decent player, but so far he’s failed to impress either Ange Postecoglou and Brendan Rodgers that he’s capable of a regular first team place
Although to be fair to the lad, he’s hardly been given enough opportunities to show what he’s capable of, but will it be any different if he does decide his future lies at Celtic?
It’s unlikely he will displace any of the current players standing in his way of a first team place, so it seems likely he will move on at some stage over the summer.
Hopefully young Rocco makes the decision that’s best for him and his future development. Whether that’s at Celtic or somewhere else remains to be seen.
