Let’s hope for a Callum McGregor and Scotland masterclass tonight.

Tonight sees Scotland take on Switzerland as they aim to make amends for the disastrous opening day thumping at the hands of hosts Germany in Munich.

The team were heavily criticised and rightly so after a lacklustre display, some warranted some not, especially in the case of our own Callum McGregor.

Callum by his own standards had a poor game and like most of his teammates will be looking to make amends tonight against the Swiss.

Callum spoke the other day about taking criticism on board and proving certain folk wrong. I think we all know who he was alluding too, and let’s hope he makes certain individuals eat their words later this evening.

Callum’s a terrific player and one that Steve Clarke will be hoping is at the top of his game as his side look to nab a vital win against the Swiss tonight in Cologne.

Callum like the rest of his teammates are capable of so much more than the trudged performance they produced against the Germans. We earned the right to be here by producing the goods when it mattered in the qualifiers.

If they show the ability we know they are capable of then it will go a long way to help us in our aim of qualifying from the group stage. Let’s hope they produce that form later this evening.
